1942 British Gas Detector Brassard.

A scarce example of the British gas detector brassard. Manufacturer marked and dated 1942 to the reverse, this is the light buff version which has a coated layer which reacts to the presence of mustard gas. This example was found with a small number of unissued brassards in the effects of a Civil Defence Gas Officer. Excellent condition, minor marks.
