‘STATE SERVICE’ ARMBAND.

One of the most striking armbands, along with the ‘Recruiting’ one. Just an imposing out stretched black eagle and swastika on a yellow background. These are always black cotton woven into the fabric. Sometimes, like this one, there will be an official ink stamp showing where they have come from or area they are used in. This one says “Landrat des Kreises Grafschaft Bentheim'. In English this would translate to something like 'chief administrative officer of the district Grafschaft Bentheim'. Grafschaft Bentheim is a place in Niedersachsen, Germany.
