1943 RAF 'Radio Room' wall clock.

Air Ministry, English made wall clock with 18cm diameter bakelite case and hinged chrome bezel. 14cm white dial with black Arabic numerals and hands, dial now spotted. The movement is integral with the rear of the bezel and dial, it is marked with the stores reference number 10A/10449. Movement has integral winder, appears to keep reasonable time but would suggest a service. Various service dates marked inside of the case and the probable date of liberation ' Xmas 1947 ' scratched into movement. Reverse marked ' X24016 ' and ' 228/43 '.
These clocks are associated with RAF radio rooms but are seen elsewhere in wartime interior photographs.
