Probably locally made in France this aluminium has been mounted onto a thin leather wrist band with an accompanying GS button and a circle of red silk possibly a charm or keepsake cut from a woman's dress. The disc features the details of 20734 Pte.Harry Hood Grenadier Guards ( Grenadier is spelt wrongly on the disc ). Good overall condition, leather band a little dry. WW2 Wehrmacht Heer Buckle - Unit Marked.
One piece aluminium Wehrmacht buckle with manufacturer marked and dated leather tab. Although buckle is not manufacturer marked it bears the hallmarks of a Franke & Co product. Tab is marked ' Nowa, Hamburg 1936 ' and retains it's paint finish to reverse. Tab also bears the unit marking ' 13./J R.49 I ' Good overall condition with light wear to highlights. read more
