An excellent example of the 1939 2nd Type Wound Badge in silver. Needle pin fastening , marked to the reverse, on catch mounting , with the incurred number ' 100 ' , the LDO number for Rudolf Wachtler und Lange, Mittwaida i.Sa. 95% silvering remaining to the fine zinc badge with light rubbing to highlights but with the ' greying ' common to this finish. WW2 period, fine wool coloured field service cap for an officer of the RAOC. Dark blue, body and crown with red piping to crown and bullion wire to skirt. G.S. buttons to front and a gilt and enamel, small size RAOC badge. Fully lined with plush headband, with owner's details in ink. Good, used condition with very little wear, however, some mothing to reverse, approx. size 7.
