British No 207 Clockwork Fuse For The British 3.7 Inch AA Gun
Unfired British No 207 fuse for the British 3.7 inch anti-aircraft which was the standard heavy AA gun used from 1938 throughout WW2. This clockwork fuse superseded the No 199 powder fuse. This fuse is stamped No.207 l ROF.( B ).1942 indicating manufacture by R.O.F. Blackburn. Good, clean condition with some minor bruises.

This is believed to be a wing for a photograph frame popular at the time where various companies produced a variety of frames with corresponding insignia for the subject of the portrait. 1942 Kriegsmarine Soldbuch to a Belgian volunteer, Gefr.Heinrich Gortjes. Soldbuch showing b/w photograph to inner cover and shows Gortjes initially joining 1.Marine-Ersatz-Abteilung, and then briefly with M.A.A.621. Most of his service appears to be with M.A.A.632 serving on the Italian coast at Batterie Casa Bianca. Good, used condition which would reward further research. read more
