1914/15 Star, War and Victory Trio to 22442 Cpl. Leslie Kirk 17th Btn., The King's ( Liverpool Regt. ). The 17th Btn was the first of the Liverpool Pals Battalions. Kirk, originally from Birkenhead was killed on 28/03/18 in the opening week of the German Spring Offensive and is buried at Bouchoir New British Cemetery on the Somme battlefield. WW1 British No.19 MkI Hand Grenade.
A scarce example of a British, 1917 dated No.19 MkI Hand Grenade. Introduced in June 1917 and also known as the Trench Warfare Dept. Percussion Pattern, the grenade features a pear shaped segmented body with a short wooden handle with three webbing tails. Dated to percussion fuse head, fully strippable with webbing tails.

Scarce bullion cap wreath for an Officer in the Marine HJ. Bullion on fine wool with enamel HJ diamond to centre with cotton backing. Bullion toned with one area of minor loss to the nap of the backing, otherwise v.good and uncommon. read more
