WW2 NSDAP pennant or flag probably for Naval use. Robust, multi-piece construction with swivel halyard fixings and further reinforcing stitch lines to sides and tail to avoid fraying. A very much in ' fresh from the shed ' example, a 1938 dated British Army MKII steel helmet. Early production indicated by the clear date, manufacturer's details and steel batch code stamped to underside rim. This would indicate manufacture by Harrison Bros & Howson of Sheffield.
