A text-book helmet being the early M16 type helmet with the plied leather stitched headband. Leather is 100% original and although a little frail, is still all complete. Good scarce example with a steel guard, pierced with a star and crescent, chequered horn grips with a thumb groove to the top, a pipe-back blade, approx. 33" in length, this has Turkish markings to the ricasso, complete with its steel scabbard.
