WW2 Italian officer's insignia grouping.
Comprising a set of insignia that was souvenired by a Military Police officer during his service in Italy. Includes shoulder boards, cap insignia for both the peaked cap and bustina, rank devices for the sleeve, sword knot and brocade cross belt strap. WW1 British ' Remedy for Poisonous Gas '.
One of the numerous products which were produced during WW1 to sell to families, who would then post to loved ones serving at the front line. This small tin retains the original paper label to the lid. Complete with two of the linen wrapped capsules which were intended to be crushed and inhaled in the event of gas poisoning. Good overall condition with some rust bleed to label.

Unissued example of the M44 breast eagle that was introduced to make savings at the manufacturing stage. Characteristic subdued mouse grey BeVo weave on triangular backing. In good condition with some glue marks to reverse where it was removed from an album. read more

Superb silver and enamel ladies compact by Gieves of London in it's original Gieves box. Approx 50mm, hallmarked silver, approx 70gms ( Birmingham 1928/29 ) compact featuring superb enamelling to lid which is surmounted by a highly detailed silver and enamel wing. Interior has mirror to lid and has it's original, unopened contents. An exquisite, undamaged example which is unlikely to be bettered. read more

Introduced from 1942 the 3rd Pattern F.S. knife was the zenith of FS knives formulating the design and method of production that is still used today.
