Beloved of early Commando units, the woollen cap comforter was considered essential issue to all troops serving in the UK. By 1942 however, the scale of issue had been reduced but was retained by many of the field force units including the Commandos.

Good example of a 1339 pattern black wound badge in it's LDO marked packet of issue. Hollow stamped with a semi-gloss black paint finish this example is not maker marked. The packet of issue too is not maker marked but is marked LDO to the front with the LDO guarantee to the reverse. One stain to the front of the packet otherwise excellent example.  read more

Scarce WW1 Russian grenade designed by Col.Orlov. Galvanised steel body with an inner fragmentation sleeve with a brass sleeve to accomodate a black powder type fuze. The top of the grenade is held in place by two tabs, whilst the body sits on top of a wooden handle. An uncommon example.

Original 11th Airborne 511 Parachute Infantry Regt patch. Unique design printed onto false silk which has not been folded or cut to shape. Patch has been folded during storage which has left a crease which could probably be removed by ironing but has left a line across the design.
