1881 Afghanistan Medal to 12/208 Pte.P.Wright 85th Foot, Kings Shropshire Light Infantry, no clasp. Pte.Wright served in Afghanistan between 1878 -1880 and was invalided back to England in March 1881. Accompanied by a small quantity of research. In clean condition, some minor edge knocks. read more

In excellent condition with dark bronze original finish. Has not been polished or cleaned. Very crisp casting, great detail. A little age here anfd there, but otherwise a near mint medal. Purchased with a very nice army dagger from a family in the Isle of Man. This is the long nazi building drape flag you see on every newsreal about Germany during the war. Tin and celluloid matchbox cover with a photograph of a military football team to one side and Allied flags to the other. Produced by a photographer in Roke Lane, Pudsey. Difficult to make out the unit. Pleasing WW1 souvenir in good, clean condition. read more
