German Projectile Desk Ornament.
Desk ornament featuring two fired projectiles mounted on a polished bakelite type base. One projectile is a 37mm AP/HE/T dated 1936, the other a 20mm HE/T with either a dummy or practice aluminium fuze. Unsure of its origin could either be German or an Allied souvenir. WW2 French wrist type, steel dogtag for a Gabriel Desruet with an attached POW ID tag for Stalag 1B. The POW tag is stamped with the prefix ' F ' indicating the nationality of the prisoner. Stalag 1B was a large multi-national POW camp located 2 kilometres west of Hohenstein, East Prussia now Poland. read more
