One of the many variations of visor caps worn by members of the Veterans Association or KYFFHAUSERBUND. Open to past members of the Wehrmacht, navy etc who fought in WW1. Retaining good levels of original finish with wear to high points, this badge displays the attributes of badges made by Rudolf Karneth & Sohn, Gablonz. Printed WW2 18th Infantry Division printed formation sign. 18th Div was a territorial unit raised in 1939 drawing its personnel from the east of England. It was deployed to India and then to Malaya and was destroyed with many of its officers and men captured in Singapore.

WW2 Memorial Scroll Mjr.V.D.J.Saxon.
Uncommon WW2 memorial scroll to Major V.D.J.Saxon RASC who died on 24.03.1941 and is buried in Ismailia Cemetery, Egypt. Saxon was possibly a casualty of the opening of Operation Sonnenblume where Rommel pushed British forces back to the Egyptian border having bypassed Tobruk. WW2 memorial scrolls are uncommon in comparison with their WW1 predecessors because they were paid for by their relatives. read more
