A good condition British, WWII, No.36M MkI Hand Grenade. Features approx. 95%+ of the original brown lacquer with most filling markings remaining. Manufacturer marked ' PSC ' indicate manufacture by Parkinson Stone Co Ltd with matching marked lever. 1943 dated base plug with unknown manufacturer marks. All parts present and fully strippable. A scarce example of a British Mk.I No.27 Hand & Rifle grenade. Introduced in late 1916, this phosphorous smoke grenade was initially produced as a rodded rifle grenade with a threaded strengthened plug to the base. This example has been restored and accurately reflects the original finish and is complete with its original brass striker assembly. Uncommon.
